How to Restore an Assignment to an Employee’s Trainee Home Page

If an employee accidentally marks a Computer-Based Training (CBT) assignment as completed, the assignment disappears from their Trainee Home page. Administrators can restore it by resetting the completion date. Follow these steps:

  1. Confirm the employee no longer sees the assignment
    On the Trainee Home page, assignments appear under the Assignments tab beneath the calendar. Once an employee clicks “Click here to record completion of this assignment” and enters a completion date, the assignment is removed.

  2. Open the Admin Dashboard
    Navigate to the left-hand menu and select Admin Dashboard.

  3. Go to the Assignments tab
    Choose the Assignments tab at the top of the dashboard.

  4. Select the correct assignment list
    For CBT assignments, click Pending CBT and On-Demand Assignments.

  5. Locate the employee’s assignment
    Use the employee drop-down menu to select the user, then click Search.
    Find the assignment in their list (e.g., A Guide to Effective Meetings).

  6. Open the assignment details
    Click the arrow-icon button in the “Actions” column to open the full assignment record.

  7. Remove the completion date
    In the assignment details, locate the Completed field and delete the date entered by the employee.

  8. Save the update
    Click UPDATE to reset the assignment.

  9. Confirm the assignment is restored
    The employee can now return to their Trainee Home page. The assignment will reappear on their Assignments tab and function normally again.
